Job description


Our Breakfast Cooks at Magnolia Glen create delicious, beautifully presented meals that help residents, guests, and associates start their day right. By delivering exceptional quality and service, they contribute to a welcoming, restaurant-style dining experience every morning.
Schedule: Full Time| Monday - Friday OR Tuesday - Saturday 5:15am- 1:30pm
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr - $22.50/hr
Paid Vacation / Sick Time / 7 Paid Holidays

What will I do every day?
  • Assist in the production of creatively designed cuisine
  • Cook according to menus, production sheet and recipes with consideration
  • Maintain kitchen and food preparation in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Deliver all invoices to Dining Services Director in a timely fashion
  • Maintain records or meals served and records of food and supplies used as required

Qualifications and Skills:
Education/Experience:
  • Required: 3+ years of experience as a Breakfast Cook in a restaurant, senior living, hotel, or similar food service setting.
  • Minimum 5 years of cooking experience required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to fully support kitchen brigade associates
  • Demonstrates understanding of Mise en Place through proper placement and preparation of ingredients

Special Requirements/Certifications:
  • Must have 3 years of breakfast cook experience
  • Must have Food Handler's certification as required or being willing to obtain one.
