Demonstrates an intermediate knowledge level in meeting and event planning and works under limited direction to resolve complex issues and/or address rare, high impact situations. Responsible for the development, planning, execution, budgeting, risk mitigation and outcomes of a wide range of meetings and events that impact their strategy, priorities, associate experience, and culture. Guides and executes the planning from an initial concept through completion, while enhancing and materializing ideas.
Role Description
โข Drives the planning process, making recommendations to meet business objectives and measures meeting outcomes.
โข Executes meetings and events from concept to execution including schedule, format, venue management, audio/visual technology, attendee management, food and beverage, transportation, accommodations, staffing, and budget management.
โข Selects, recommends, and negotiates all vendor and venue contracts, while considering costs, risks, and service outcomes.
โข Manages and executes multi-channel projects that include audio visual, live experiential events, video production, social and digital customer journeys and the vendors that support these areas.
โข Prioritizes and manages multiple meetings, timelines, stakeholders, partners, and vendors to meet business needs.
โข Manage attendee communication including pre-event communication, invitations, registration and respond to event inquiries.
โข Serve as a valuable secondary resource to METS Planners when not taking the lead on the assigned program.
โข Establishes lessons learned to improve future meetings.
โข Demonstrate sound judgement in resolving matters of moderate complexity.
โข Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with key external and internal customers, business units, vendors and colleagues.
Industry Best Practice Research
โข Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, social media, and device landscape to inform and inspire the development of new event experiences.
โข Stays informed of venues, market rates, and meeting planning execution best practices.
โข Identifies inefficiencies/issues, recommends solutions, implements improvements.
โข Oversee onsite attendees monitoring meeting attendance, attendee health/safety, live travel status and ground transportation.

Working conditions:
โข Local Travel required (up to 25%)
โข Required to do extensive standing and walking (up to 8 hours a day)
โข Flexible schedule can include irregular hours/evenings/early mornings/weekends
โข May be required to drive personal vehicle to events
โข Ability to transport supplies and materials that weigh up to 50lbs/23kgs
