What is an associate ERP administrator?

Associate ERP Administrators are entry-level professionals responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems used by organizations. They assist in user account management, data integrity, system updates, and resolving technical issues under the supervision of senior administrators. Their role also often involves providing end-user support and training, as well as helping to implement new features or modules within the ERP system.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an associate ERP administrator?

To thrive as an Associate ERP Administrator, you need foundational knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, database management, and basic IT troubleshooting, often supported by a degree in information technology or a related field. Familiarity with ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, and understanding of SQL or similar database languages, are typically required; certifications in these systems can be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication help you support users and collaborate with cross-functional teams. These skills ensure the ERP system runs smoothly, user issues are resolved efficiently, and business operations remain uninterrupted.

What are the typical challenges faced by an associate ERP administrator during system upgrades or migrations?

As an Associate ERP Administrator, one of the main challenges during system upgrades or migrations is ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime. Coordinating with various departments to schedule upgrades, troubleshooting unexpected technical issues, and validating that all customizations and integrations work as intended can be complex. Job description

About the Job

Oracle SCM is central to how Anduril plans, procures, builds, moves, and costs the materials behind its products. As the Senior ERP Administrator for Oracle SCM, you will serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for the capabilities supporting our Design-to-Build and Procure-to-Pay processes. This is an individual-contributor role reporting to the ERP Technical Manager and acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, Oracle, and our technical delivery teams. Enterprise Architects define what a solution must accomplish and why; you will own how, when, and where that solution is configured, implemented, tested, deployed, and supported in Oracle SCM.

What You'll Do
  • Own the functional health, support, enhancement delivery, and operational stability of Oracle SCM across Design-to-Build and Procure-to-Pay.
  • Serve as the primary Oracle SCM functional point of contact for business stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, Oracle, and technical delivery teams.
  • Partner with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and operations stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize enhancements, and improve end-to-end processes.
  • Translate business requirements and architectural direction into scalable Oracle SCM functional designs, configuration, and implementation plans.
  • Perform hands-on functional configuration and solution enablement across procurement, inventory, manufacturing, planning, cost management, and related SCM capabilities; this role does not include software development responsibilities.
  • Own functional delivery from discovery through production deployment, including release planning, production readiness, cutover, and Hypercare.
  • Coordinate with OIC Development, Oracle Development, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Finance, and QA partners to deliver integrated ERP solutions with clear dependencies and ownership.
  • Lead functional discovery workshops, solution validation, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and business validation.
  • Develop end-to-end test scenarios and own functional defect triage, prioritization, and coordination through resolution.
  • Support production operations through incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management, while monitoring functional health and operational performance.
  • Identify process improvements and new Oracle SCM capabilities that make business operations more effective while keeping solutions practical, scalable, and supportable.
  • Maintain functional designs, configuration records, testing evidence, release documentation, and operational procedures for the SCM domain.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in ERP functional administration, implementation, or consulting, including significant hands-on ownership of Oracle Cloud SCM.
  • Deep functional expertise configuring Oracle SCM across procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, planning, cost management, or closely related capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Design-to-Build, Procure-to-Pay, or comparable end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Proven ownership of ERP enhancements across discovery, functional design, configuration, testing, deployment, Hypercare, and production support.
  • Experience leading system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, business validation, and functional defect resolution.
  • Strong understanding of how Oracle SCM configuration interacts with integrations, security, data, financial processes, and adjacent enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders and Enterprise Architects, preserve solution intent, and convert ambiguous requirements into executable functional outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence business leaders, architects, engineers, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating Oracle Cloud SCM in a complex manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other high-availability production environment.
  • Functional depth across multiple Oracle SCM modules, especially Procurement, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Planning, and Cost Management.
  • Experience with major Oracle Cloud implementations, quarterly updates, release readiness, and production cutovers.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud and the functional design of integrations between ERP and adjacent enterprise systems.
  • Experience partnering with finance functional teams on cross-domain processes involving purchasing, inventory valuation, manufacturing costing, or accounting impacts.
  • Familiarity with frontier AI tooling and AI-enabled workflows for requirements analysis, testing, documentation, or enterprise systems support.
  • Experience in hyper growth startup-like environments, with demonstrated success balancing speed, ambiguity, and long-term platform health.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
