Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Inpatient (Clinical Documentation/Orders) & WestCom Nurse Call Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation and/or Orders modules, along with experience integrating and supporting WestCom Nurse Call systems. This role requires close collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, clinical informatics teams, and technical stakeholders to enhance inpatient workflows, clinical documentation, order management, and nurse call communications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and support Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation and/or Orders applications.
  • Support and maintain WestCom Nurse Call system integrations with Epic.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and clinical requirements from inpatient nursing, physician, and operational teams.
  • Design, build, test, validate, and deploy Epic enhancements and system changes.
  • Configure and support clinical documentation, computerized provider order entry (CPOE), nursing workflows, and inpatient care processes.
  • Troubleshoot application and interface issues, including Epic and WestCom Nurse Call integrations.
  • Participate in Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and enhancement projects.
  • Perform unit testing, integrated testing, interface validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop and maintain build documentation, workflow diagrams, interface specifications, and support documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with Willow, ASAP, Radiant, Beaker, MyChart, and other Epic modules.
  • Ensure all configurations comply with Epic best practices, healthcare regulations, and organizational governance standards.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation and/or Orders.
  • Epic Clinical Documentation and/or Epic Orders Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience supporting or integrating WestCom Nurse Call systems is required.
  • Experience in Epic build, configuration, implementation, testing, and production support.
  • Strong understanding of inpatient clinical workflows, nursing documentation, medication workflows, and computerized provider order entry (CPOE).
  • Experience with interface troubleshooting and healthcare interoperability.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Epic Clinical Documentation and/or Epic Orders Certification (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Epic Inpatient experience
  • Experience with WestCom Nurse Call integration/support.
  • Excellent communication skills.
