Job description

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team! This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

** This is a new operation located in Laredo, Texas. New hire orientation is projected to be in August**

Position Details:

Monday to Friday 3:00 pm - 12:00 am (weekends/holidays as required)

  • $21.63 base rate

Job Responsibilities
Accurately match numbers & letters
Accurately stage and sort products for loading
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
Stack and secure picked product in a stable manner for shipping
Select and process multiple orders at a time
Move materials within the warehouse
Complies with all safety requirements
Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
Quality control
Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
Communicate with associates from other shifts
Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:
No prior warehouse experience required but preferred. 
Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required (Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred)
Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
Flexible to work overtime preferred
Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
