Empathy First Clinical Counseling and Consulting, PLLC is seeking an LMSW / LPC Associate Child Clinician to join our team as a full-time contractor in a hybrid setting in Cypress, TX.
Position Summary
As an LMSW / LPC Associate Child Clinician (Contractor), you will provide compassionate, evidence-informed mental health services to children and support their caregivers through the therapeutic process. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help children improve emotional well-being, coping skills, and overall functioning.
This hybrid role is based in Cypress, TX, offering a balance of in-person and remote work while maintaining strong clinical engagement, documentation standards, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver outpatient clinical services to children, including diagnostic assessments, intake interviews, and ongoing treatment sessions
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervisors and the care team
Provide caregiver support and guidance to strengthen progress at home and in daily routines
Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and ensure records meet professional and organizational standards
Participate in case consultation, supervision, and team coordination to support high-quality care
Required Qualifications
Active licensure as an LMSW or LPC Associate in Texas (or eligibility to begin promptly in accordance with state requirements)
Experience working with children and/or families, with an understanding of child development and family systems
Ability to conduct clinical intakes, maintain confidentiality, and document services accurately and timely
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism in a client-centered environment
Commitment to receiving clinical supervision and adhering to ethical, regulatory, and organizational policies
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in outpatient child therapy, school-based settings, or related child-focused mental health services
Familiarity with evidence-informed approaches for children and adolescents, including behavioral and trauma-informed care
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining consistent documentation standards
Experience collaborating with caregivers, educators, and other professionals as part of a coordinated care plan
Comfort working in a hybrid model and using telehealth effectively when sessions are delivered remotely
