Job description

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering tests and managing magnetics engineering projects associated with transformer design. This role will involve working under the supervision of a senior engineer to design, develop, and test magnetic components and systems.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Conduct engineering tests on power conversion systems to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze test data and identify opportunities for design improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing test procedures, results, and design modifications.
  • Assist in the design and development of magnetic components for transformers, including core and coil assemblies.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to optimize transformer designs for efficiency and performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to support project planning and execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in transformer and magnetics engineering.
  • Perform responsibilities in a manner consistent with Schumacher's purpose, core values and strategic anchors.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, with a preferred focus on electromagnetics and/or power systems.
