Legend Biotech is seeking an Associate Director/ Director, Global Strategy Lead as part of the Strategy and CI team based in Bridgewater, NJ.

Role Overview

The Associate Director/Director, Global Strategy Lead will lead enterprise transformation initiatives across the organization, integrating Strategy, and Lean methodologies to drive sustainable business impact. This role will establish and deploy a structured approach to portfolio management, continuous improvement, and strategic execution aligned with company priorities.

This leader will be responsible for designing and implementing transformation frameworks that enhance visibility, accountability, and delivery across a global portfolio of initiatives. Projects will include strategic initiatives, operational excellence programs, KPI/dashboard development, organizational redesign, and end‑to‑end process improvements.

Additionally, this role will champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean principles and best practices inspired by systems such as the Danaher Business System (DBS), while coaching cross‑functional leaders and project teams to deliver measurable results aligned with the company’s mission and long‑term strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the enterprise strategic planning, and Lean continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute a standardized framework to manage transformation initiatives and ensure alignment with business strategy and priorities.
  • Own and actively manage the enterprise portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives, ensuring prioritization, resource alignment, and execution discipline.
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, with clear milestones, KPIs, and accountability.
  • Translate commercial strategy into executable initiatives with clear KPIs, timelines, and accountability.
  • Partner with CI team to ensure seamless flow of information with Bus on Strategic imperatives
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Customer Experience teams to drive execution excellence.
  • Drive implementation of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices across functions to improve efficiency, quality, and performance.
  • Build and maintain executive‑level dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into transformation progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Lead regular portfolio reviews with senior leadership to assess progress, reprioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to remove barriers, accelerate decision‑making, and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Ensure sustainability of transformation outcomes through standardization, capability building, and change management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in science required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Background in Pharma/Biotech is essential.
  • 10+ years of experience in transformation, strategy, or operational excellence roles.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong background in strategic execution required
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management).
  • Experience with Danaher Business System (DBS) or similar performance/Lean systems strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong change management and organizational development experience.

Other Types of Pay: Performance‑based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.

$193,629 - $254,137 USD
