Schedule: Full-Time

The Learning Experience - Franklin is seeking an experienced Assistant Center Director to join our leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early childhood professional who enjoys mentoring teachers, partnering with families, and helping lead a high-quality educational program.
Working alongside the Center Director, you'll play a key role in daily operations, staff development, licensing compliance, enrollment support, and creating an environment where children, families, and educators can thrive.
Leadership Responsibilities
Team Development
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard outstanding early childhood educators
  • Coach, mentor, and support teachers through regular classroom observations and performance feedback
  • Promote consistent implementation of The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
  • Develop staff schedules while ensuring proper classroom ratios and licensing compliance
  • Support employee training, professional development, and ongoing performance management
  • Maintain personnel records and required documentation in accordance with Massachusetts EEC regulations

Center Operations
  • Help oversee the daily operation of the center while maintaining exceptional educational quality
  • Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC licensing and health and safety regulations
  • Partner with the Center Director to support enrollment growth and family retention
  • Foster strong relationships with current and prospective families through exceptional customer service
  • Assist with community outreach, center events, and family engagement initiatives
  • Help create a positive, collaborative culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence

Qualifications
  • Massachusetts Director I & Director II Certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of early childhood leadership experience required (2+ years preferred)
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
