LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preference will be given to applicants residing in Central or South Florida
  • This is a hybrid position, with required travel to our dental practices from across the southern states. This travel will be dependant on the candidate’s location, varying between 2 – 4 times per month

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a rapidly growing organization, we are looking for a full-time Operations Director (OD) with strong business acumen and a proven track record of leadership. You will be responsible for the overall operations and success of the practices by performing the following:

  • Drive revenue growth by overseeing orthodontic exam performance, managing pediatric dental productivity, and managing collections
  • Achieve profitability targets through cost controls, overseeing payments and identifying new cost efficiencies
  • Build great teams by promoting company culture, coaching and development of staff, organizing team events, and working alongside HR for hiring needs
  • Maximize patient satisfaction by ensuring customer service and attractive facilities, while also resolving any patient escalations 
  • Create and maintain a successful schedule for all clinical staff in the practice
  • Consistent communication with office staff and supervisors to address issues and review KPIs
  • Execute, promote, and collaborate on regional marketing and community engagement strategies
  • Assist in practice-level HR duties such as enforcing the employee handbook, disciplinary action, pay  structure,  and  performance  reviews 
  • Assure compliance for federal, state, and dental board guidelines 
  • Oversee and manage new projects, such as new software implementation

REQUIRED SKILLS & TRAITS

  • Strong organizational skills, analytical, and attention to detail 
  • Humble yet confident leadership skills with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed
  • Ability to drive, have a valid driver’s license, and periodically travel

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • 3+ years in dentistry and / or a dental service organization
  • Experience leading teams of 10+ people
  • Experience managing a P&L or achieving revenue targets
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office business applications
