Job description

Summary: This is an opportunity for Instructional Designers to build creative and innovative training solutions that meet the needs and learning objectives for a unique and targeted audience in an engaging and educational manner.
Essential Duties:
  • Create new and innovative training solutions that include but not limited to written course content, systems documentation and e-learning
  • Develop quality training materials based on the ADDIE model of instructional design
  • Write course design documents, learning objectives, course content, practice scenarios, activities, and assessments
  • Consult with team members, clients, and subject matter experts regarding training needs and identify best business practices
  • Maintain source documents

Requirements
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of instructional design principles, practices, and adult learning theory
  • Proven ability to develop a variety of learning tools that include but not limited to instructional storyboards, written course content, systems documentation and e-learning.
  • Able to write curriculum based on competencies
  • Able to use strong analytical skills and convert information and needs into sequenced, systems-focused, classroom training materials
  • Superior writing skills including the ability to write concise, creative, and effective instructional materials
  • Action-oriented
  • Approachable by being open, friendly, accepting and flexible with all team members
  • Comfortable meeting with and discussing progress with top business leaders
  • Cool and composed under pressure
  • Client and customer-focused
  • Able to effectively cope with ambiguity, move forward without all the answers in place, and doesn't get upset when things are up in the air
  • Able to balance time and tasks; focus on priorities while keeping an eye on all tasks that need to be completed
  • Must be a team member and open to change
  • Must enjoy developing training materials that are engaging, educational, and entertaining
  • A bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, technical writing, or a related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field, or equivalent academic and work experience combined
