Job description

Empowered Staffing is partnered with a rapidly growing senior living organization seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Operations for its Milwaukee facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on clinical leader to strengthen care delivery, develop nursing teams, and help shape the future of a high-acuity senior care community.

As the facility’s senior clinical leader, you’ll work closely with nursing leadership and frontline staff to enhance clinical systems, maintain regulatory compliance, improve quality outcomes, and promote continuous survey readiness. You will also play an integral role in launching and overseeing the facility’s new ventilator and dialysis units, scheduled to open later this year.

Responsibilities:
-Serve as the facility’s senior clinical leader, providing visible, hands-on support and strategic guidance to the nursing management team.
-Lead the development and opening of new ventilator and dialysis units, helping establish effective clinical processes, staffing practices, and quality standards.
-Strengthen clinical policies, procedures, systems, and workflows to support consistent, high-quality resident care.
-Promote continuous survey readiness and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
-Conduct clinical audits, quality reviews, and root-cause analyses to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
-Develop and implement corrective action plans while ensuring accountability and sustained follow-through.
-Coach, mentor, and educate nursing managers and frontline clinical team members.
-Partner with facility leadership to address clinical challenges, improve performance, and advance organizational priorities.
-Build scalable clinical practices that support the company’s continued growth and future expansion.

Qualifications:
-Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or the ability to obtain Wisconsin licensure.
-Significant clinical leadership experience within skilled nursing, long-term care, long-term acute care, intensive care, or another high-acuity healthcare setting.
-Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing managers and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
-Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, survey readiness, quality improvement, and clinical risk management.
-Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, evolving clinical environment.
-Experience with ventilator, respiratory, dialysis, or other high-acuity services is highly preferred.

Why Join This Organization?
-The company is offering a sign-on bonus, competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.
-Play a key leadership role in launching two brand-new specialty care units.
-Join a rapidly growing organization with significant opportunities for advancement.
-Make a direct impact on clinical quality, team development, and resident outcomes.
-Help build innovative clinical programs that bridge the gap between traditional skilled nursing and long-term acute care.
