Job description

Work Location:

At Profit Recovery Partners (PRP), we believe that collaboration and innovation thrive when we're together. This position isย fully onsiteย at our Santa Ana office, allowing for real-time teamwork, immediate problem-solving, and a strong sense of community among our team members.

Who You Are:

The Associate Director for our Telecommunications Program with the West Purchasing Group drives value byย identifyingย telecom savings opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and leading telecom program implementations from assessment through activation. This role combines telecom channelย expertise, client-facing sales and relationship management, savings analysis, vendor and carrier negotiation, and hands-on implementation leadership. You understand how telecom agents, master agents, carriers, and channel partners work together and can coordinate across internal teams, agent programs, and carriers to deliver measurable savings, new revenue, and a strong member experience.ย

  • You have deep telecom industry experience, preferably as a telecom agent, channel partner, or sales professional supporting multiple carriers and solutions.ย
  • You are an implementation-focused operator who can take ownership of complex, multi-vendor transitions and drive them to completion.ย
  • You can evaluate current telecom spend, pricing, services, and vendor relationships to estimate client savings and program value.ย
  • You are comfortable negotiating with agent programs and carriers when an existing program does not meet the client's needs.ย
  • You communicate clearly with clients, carrier representatives, sales teams, and internal stakeholders and can translate telecom complexity into practical next steps.ย

What You Will Do:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of telecom programs for clients, including consolidating services currently spread across multiple telecom vendors into a coordinated program.ย
  • Assess the client's current telecom environment, including vendors, services, contracts, pricing, billing, and spend, toย determineย program fit and implementation requirements.ย
  • Partner with telecom agents, master agents, channel partners, and carriers to enroll clients in available programs and ensureย accurateย setup.ย
  • Build savings analyses that compare what the client pays today withย anticipatedย program pricing and quantify expected savings.ย
  • Negotiate program terms, carrier pricing, and implementation requirements with agent programs and carriers when needed.ย
  • Develop clear implementation plans, timelines, milestones, ownership, dependencies, and escalation paths for each client program.ย
  • Coordinate data collection, carrier orders, account setup, service transitions, billing changes, and issue resolution through implementation.ย
  • Validateย that implemented services, pricing, and billing align with the approved program and resolve discrepancies with carriers or program partners.ย
  • Prepare a simplified quarterly savings summary that documents implemented changes, expected or realized savings, status, and outstanding issues for internal teams and client discussions.ย
  • Partner with internal stakeholders toย identifyย clients with telecom opportunities, review available spend information, and support client conversations.ย
  • Act as the primary point of contact for implementation-related telecom billing issues and coordinate resolution with theย appropriate agent, carrier, or internal team.ย
  • Maintainย accurateย project documentation and provideย timelyย updates on progress, risks, savings, and implementation completions.ย
  • Build productive relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, telecom agents, and carrier representatives.ย
  • Identifyย and deliver new telecom value to existing WEST members by uncovering program, carrier, pricing, and service opportunities.ย
  • Support member retention and growth by maximizing implemented savings,ย demonstratingย ongoing value, and identifyingย appropriate follow-onย telecom opportunities.ย
  • Sell and secure approval for new telecom projects, program placements, and renewals with a high degree of urgency.ย
  • Maintainย executive-level engagement with WEST members by confirming savings, communicating implementation progress, resolving concerns, and building trusted relationships.ย
  • Contribute to personal and department performance goals, including implementation, savings, member retention, and new revenueย objectives.ย
  • Manage telecom agent, carrier, and program relationships, including negotiations, renewals, implementation coordination, issue escalation, and partner compliance.ย
  • Other duties as assigned.ย

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degreeย required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.ย
  • Minimumย 10+ years of relevant telecom experience, including progressively responsible experience in telecom sales, channel partnerships, carrier programs, consulting, implementation, or account management.
  • Demonstratedย experience working with telecom agents, master agents, channel partners, and multiple carriers; direct telecom agent or channel sales experienceย stronglyย preferred.
  • Experienced in Microsoft office suite
  • Proven ability to lead complex telecom implementations involving multiple vendors, services, accounts, locations, or billing relationships.
  • Experience negotiating pricing, program terms, and implementation requirements with carriers and channel partners.
  • Intermediate or greater Microsoft Excel skills, including organizing and reconciling data, comparing current and proposed costs, and calculating savings.
  • Ability to analyze telecom invoices, contracts, pricing, service inventories, and vendor data toย identifyย financial and implementation impacts.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage concurrent implementations, deadlines, dependencies, and escalations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical and financial information clearly.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams.
  • Demonstratedย success building client relationships, presenting financial value, and gaining approval for projects or program changes.
