Manager, Digital Marketing:
The Manager, Digital Marketing is a creative and driven staff member who works with the Marketing leadership team in developing and executing United Way of the Midlands’ (UWM) digital marketing strategy. Utilizing website, email, social media, digital advertising and analytics, this role drives brand awareness, donor engagement and community impact through compelling digital storytelling and innovative marketing campaigns. The position also leads United Way's digital fundraising strategy by optimizing online giving experiences, increasing digital conversion and collaborating across Marketing, Donor Engagement and Finance teams to maximize online revenue and donor engagement.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads digital fundraising campaigns and online giving initiatives, and achieves departmental goals for online giving, plus email, web and social engagement
  • Creates digital marketing assets (photo, video, graphics) and generates accompanying text to be used across a variety of platforms
  • Oversees the strategy and execution of social media engagement and audience growth
  • Manages email marketing campaigns to maximize performance, donor engagement and online fundraising conversion
  • Performs website updates and enhancements for a better user experience and journey
  • Monitors and improves SEO for organic and paid search capabilities
  • Ensures projects are completed on time with exceptional quality
  • Works with the Marketing amp; Communications team to ensure brand continuity in tone and appearance
  • Supports the UWM team at special events with photography/videography and other duties as needed
  • Some evening and weekend work required
  • Other duties as assigned
Digital Strategy amp; Paid Advertising
  • Optimizes online donation experiences, including donation pages, campaign landing pages and donor journeys to improve conversion and retention
  • Manages production and tracking of organic and paid content across all digital media platforms
  • In collaboration with Director, Marketing Services, plans, implements, and optimizes paid digital campaigns across platforms (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, LinkedIn, and programmatic placements)
  • Collaborates across departments to ensure seamless online gift processing, reporting and donor experience
Website Development
  • Owns strategy and execution for UWM’s website, ensuring a user-centered design and seamless UX/UI
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external developers to improve navigation, accessibility, online giving user experience and conversion optimization
  • Creates and manages landing pages for major campaigns and initiatives, including online giving, donor engagement tools, event registration and volunteer sign-ups
Analytics
  • Defines and monitors KPIs for digital channels, campaigns, and content, using analytics to inform ongoing optimization and online fundraising performance
  • Produces regular reports on website traffic, conversion rates, email engagement, social media performance, and paid ad effectiveness
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing digital campaigns across website, email, and social media channels
  • Demonstrated success improving online engagement, conversion and digital fundraising performance
  • Proficient in MS Office products, Adobe design products, and other relevant computer applications
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress Content Management systems, Google Analytics4, Google Tag Manager, SEO
  • Knowledge of camera and video equipment for producing content across channels
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, business, advertising or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
