Professional Development Manager for a global law firm client in NYC. This is a hybrid role focused on professional development initiatives supporting success of Associates firmwide. Duties: โ€ขEstablish a standing as a trusted advisor to the Practice Group Chairs, Assigning Partners, and Associates. โ€ขWork closely with the Professional Development firm leaders to address career and professional development needs of Associates. โ€ขWelcome Associates to the firm and provide professional development resources available to them. โ€ขTogether with Professional Development team leaders direct the associate and interim review processes firmwide and support the counsel and senior associate evaluation processes. โ€ขIdentify individual associate development gaps and propose solutions. โ€ขSupport stakeholders by providing data and recommendations for utilizing associates to further career development. โ€ขManage and develop junior members of the Professional Development team. โ€ขMonitor current trends and best practices and implement new innovations ensuring the firmโ€™s efforts are innovative. Position Requirements: Bachelorโ€™s degree required, advanced degree or law degree a plus. Coaching experience and certification a plus. Must have at least five years of career development experience in a law firm, consulting, or other professional services firm. Proven success in career development functions in national or international, multi-office environments. Understanding of best practices in professional development and career development. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Enthusiasm for driving change and delivering innovative solutions. Salary $128k - $160k+ commensurate with experience.
