Job Title: Manager of Enterprise Learning

Location: Corporate

Department: People Team

Job Summary: The Manager of Enterprise Learning is responsible for leading Wawa's enterprise learning strategy, capability-building priorities, curriculum governance, and learning technology experience to strengthen associate readiness, role proficiency, and business performance across Store Operations and Corporate functions. This role serves as an enterprise learning leader and business consultant, partnering closely with leaders, subject matter experts, HR partners, Learning Technology, and delivery/design leaders to assess capability needs, prioritize learning investments, and ensure learning solutions are aligned to business outcomes. The position is accountable for building a scalable, future-focused enterprise learning ecosystem that supports business performance, associate development, and Wawa's continued growth.

Principal Duties:
  • Develop and execute enterprise learning strategies that support role proficiency, operational excellence, compliance readiness, functional capability development, and future workforce needs.
  • Lead learning needs assessments and capability planning in partnership with business leaders to identify skill gaps, readiness needs, and performance priorities.
  • Establish enterprise learning roadmaps aligned with business strategy, operational needs, associate development priorities, and emerging capability requirements.
  • Define curriculum governance practices that clarify ownership, prioritization, standards, and decision-making across learning design, delivery, technology, and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with learning design and delivery leaders to ensure curricula remain relevant, scalable, and aligned to changing business priorities without duplicating operational content maintenance or delivery execution accountabilities.
  • Serve as a strategic learning consultant to business leaders, helping translate business challenges, workforce capability needs, and change priorities into practical learning strategies.
  • Evaluate opportunities to incorporate AI-enabled learning solutions, adaptive learning, digital resources, and emerging learning practices that improve scalability, personalization, and associate readiness.
  • Partner with the Senior Supervisor, Delivery Leads, subject matter experts, and business partners to ensure learning strategies are executed through clear ownership, effective design standards, and strong delivery partnerships.
  • Support change enablement for enterprise initiatives by assessing training impact, readiness needs, adoption risks, communication considerations, and learning measurement plans.
  • Serve as the business owner for Workday Learning processes, learner experience, curriculum structure, governance, and enterprise learning priorities.
  • Partner with HR Systems, the Workday Learning Analyst, LMS administrators, and business stakeholders to support learning assignments, curricula, certifications, compliance tracking, reporting, learner records, and data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve learner adoption, system utilization, reporting visibility, and learning technology enhancements; partner with HR Systems on related configuration and technical execution.
  • Consult with Store Operations leaders, Corporate functions, and People Team partners to understand capability gaps, performance challenges, change needs, and enterprise learning priorities.
  • Recommend learning strategies, governance approaches, and prioritization decisions that support business outcomes and improve associate effectiveness.
  • Manage strategic relationships with external learning vendors, content providers, technology partners, and training partners as needed.
  • Define success measures, learning outcomes, and business impact indicators for major enterprise learning initiatives.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness through learner feedback, proficiency indicators, operational metrics, adoption data, business performance measures, and stakeholder input.
  • Develop and present learning insights, recommendations, dashboards, and progress updates to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Provide overall direction and support for teams and monitor and assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence. Provide feedback, coaching, support, opportunities for development, complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when appropriate, and participate in hiring decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Organizational Development, Business or related field preferred; advanced degree a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Instructional Design, Talent Development, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7+ years of people leadership experience, including experience leading teams through complex priorities and cross-functional work.
  • Demonstrated experience developing learning strategies, assessing workforce capability needs, governing enterprise curricula, and managing large-scale learning initiatives.
  • Experience supporting frontline, retail, operational, or corporate learning environments preferred
  • Experience utilizing Workday Learning or a comparable enterprise Learning Management System preferred
  • Experience leading functional or technical training programs within corporate environments preferred
  • Experience with learning analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies, preferably in Workday Learning.
  • Education or professional certification in instructional design, learning and development, adult learning, or talent development preferred
  • Experience with LinkedIn Learning, Workday Learning, AI-enabled learning solutions, learning analytics, workforce capability planning, or change enablement preferred
