Outside Sales / Project Manager – Oil & Gas Surface Pressure Control

Wellsboro, PA
$85,000 – $135,000 per year + Performance Incentives (based on experience)
Full-Time

We are an established Wellhead and Surface Pressure Control company seeking an experienced Outside Sales / Project Manager to lead customer projects from business development through execution and delivery.

This role offers a hybrid work structure, allowing a combination of remote work and office flexibility. This position places a major focus on Outside Sales to develop new customers and expand services provided to existing customers in the region. The top candidates will have existing knowledge base of the region and customer base and should also be skilled in cold calls to new or prospective customers.  This position requires periodic on-site presence for customer meetings, company collaboration, and project support activities.

This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong sales background, proven ability to develop new customers base and maintain excellent customer relationships to drive business growth within the oil and gas industry. The right candidate will combine sales experience, technical knowledge, project management expertise, and customer-facing experience to support long-term growth and successful project execution.

You will work closely with customers, suppliers, production teams, and field service personnel to ensure projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

Business Development & Customer Management

  • Identify, pursue and develop new business within the region
  • Maintain relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Attend industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings
  • Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert for customers
  • Work with GLW Team to review customer requirements and project specifications
  • Work with GLW Team to develop customized solutions and project recommendations
  • Create and present project quotations, timelines, and deliverables
  • Communicate project expectations and schedules clearly

Supply Chain, Logistics & Project Execution

  • Coordinate materials, vendors, and supply chain activities to meet project schedules
  • Identify and develop relationships with suppliers and strategic partners
  • Monitor pricing, lead times, and logistics
  • Manage project profitability, including equipment, installation, and operational costs
  • Track project modifications and change orders
  • Work closely with production and field service teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes related to projects

Project Management & Quality Assurance

  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and performance goals
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and project completeness
  • Assist with inventory audits and quality initiatives
  • Implement best practices to improve project performance and customer outcomes

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation
  • Ensure customer and regulatory compliance requirements are met
  • Track revisions and maintain organized project records
  • Partner closely with engineering, production, field service, and sales teams
  • Provide project updates and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 Years Sales Experience in a technical or field-based role
  • Strong customer relationship and business development skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience managing projects involving distributed supply chains
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with systems, software, and computer applications
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 35% 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Team-oriented mindset 

Preferred

  • Oil & Gas industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with wellhead equipment, pressure control systems, or industrial equipment
  • Experience supporting sales and service operations
  • Associate degree or related education in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Technology
  • Technical understanding of drilling, completions, production, or pressure control applications
