Job Information:

The Associate Engineer is responsible for gaining industry experience in Instrumentation Engineering through observation and practical hands-on opportunities in day-to-day operations with the Analytical Systems Solutions group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a Project Engineer and become familiar with the weekly requirements of Project Management and Project Engineering.
  • Gain practical knowledge of the tools required to meet weekly requirements of Project Management.
  • Become familiar with the Project Phases from inception to completion.
  • Put the Project Engineer knowledge gained to use by assisting with a current project.
  • Work alongside a Service Engineer and become familiar with the daily requirements of field and office/shop duties.
  • Further develop relevant skills in maintaining and troubleshooting of instrumentation & analytical equipment.
  • Gain practical experience of communication with vendors and customers through various avenues such as written reports, emails, and virtual meetings.
  • Build on technical writing skills for purpose of clear communication and project reference documentation.
  • Accompany a Service Engineer in the field for hands-on field service duties.
  • Spend ample time on the production floor becoming familiar with the assembly portion of a current project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (imminent) in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Equivalent.
