Job description

T&M Associates is seeking a multi-talented Principial Engineer to join our Water Market! This opportunity is available in any of our New Jersey or Pennsylvania offices with the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. We are looking for an experienced professional with 8+ years in planning, design, and construction administration of water process, treatment, and distribution projects. This individual will play a key role in managing and designing utility infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on providing project management and design support for linear water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements for the City of Philadelphia’s utility infrastructure replacement and upgrade program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects related to drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
  • Provide design support for linear water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure upgrades.
  • Oversee construction administration and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, studies, and project documentation.
  • Track and manage financial performance of assigned projects.
  • Coordinate workload and provide mentorship to junior staff.
  • Participate in client meetings, ensuring strong communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • 8+ years of related experience in water process, treatment, and/or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years of project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project (MS Access a plus).
  • Strong communication and client-interaction skills.

T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $105,000 - $135,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
