Job description

Dark Wolf is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support United States Space Force (USSF). This role will focus on the rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. As part of this team, you will support ย by developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software tools and capabilities that monitor, analyze, visualize, and report on the cyber status of space ground systems and data links. ย A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment. This position requires hybrid on-site support at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This team will be based out of Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities will include:ย 

  • Evaluating current software architectures and implement meaningful improvements to ensure a robust, field-ready solution.
  • Ensuring consistent submission of high-quality, technically accurate products to the Government client.
  • Providing strategic advice, technical expertise, and mentorship to program and project staff, performing all functional duties independently.
  • Developing specialized tools to assess cyber vulnerabilities, prioritize cyber investments, and protect against unauthorized intrusion, corruption, and destruction of Space Force networks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty plus 3 years' experience in full stack development
  • 8+ years of relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena
  • Must have SAFe for Teams certification
  • AWS certifications (Associate Developer, & AWS Specialty Security within a year of start date) or be able to demonstrate AWS competence using the CLI and Boto.
  • Experience in the following Programming languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, & Angular
  • Familiarity and knowledge of: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Linux, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Artifactory, GitLab
  • Experience or knowledge in the following areas: network engineering, AWS Cloud, agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team
  • US Citizen and with an Top Secret security clearance

  • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.ย 
The estimated salary range for this position is $155,000.00 - $180,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.ย
