Job Summary

As a shop Engineer, you will learn:

  • Operation and maintenance of existing gas mains and services
  • Installation process of new facilities and the retirement of existing ones
  • Understanding customer gas supply needs including meter and regulator requirements.
  • Response and support in emergency situations
  • Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and construction project managers to understand the lifecycle of a project including as-builting.
  • Exposure to design, project management, gas operations, and customer service software
  • Technical responsibility for planning, developing, interpreting, organizing, coordinating and executing a variety of projects that are complex in nature and require the application of engineering and project management skills.

This position is part of the Engineering job family (Associate Engineer and Engineer). Experience will be the determining factor.

These positions are part of our engineering rotation program. This provides our Engineers opportunity to learn a variety of engineering functions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Must meet company standards for driving and maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Project/process management experience

End Date: 07/28/2026 

Pay Range Minimum:  $68,436.68 

Pay Range Maximum:  $118,053.26 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
