About the Job:
The Assistant Buyer will provide administrative and operational support to more senior Buying team members, particularly the Associate Buyer or Buyer.
A day in the life, what you'll be doing:
  • Handle various administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, updating inventory systems, and organizing product samples.
  • Assist with tracking purchase orders and product shipments, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained.
  • Input and manage data related to sales, orders, and stock levels in inventory management systems.
  • Conduct basic research on product trends and competitor offerings but typically don't make decisions regarding product assortment or vendor selection.
  • Interact with suppliers to confirm order details or help manage product deliveries but do not handle major negotiations.

  • with 1 - 2 years of previous experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good communication are key for this role.
  • Must also be proficient in administrative tasks such as scheduling and managing inventory systems.

  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
