Job description

A well-established structural engineering consultancy in the Portland metro area is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse mix of commercial, industrial, institutional, and specialty structures while taking ownership of projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects utilizing steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems.
  • Prepare construction documents, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining a high standard of technical quality.
  • Perform site visits, construction administration, and field observations as needed.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain licensure in the near term.
