Job description


BizTek People is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Associate for our client in New York City.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable processes and understand the upstream and downstream impacts
  • Support daily AP operations including invoice entry, account reconciliation, invoice resolution, and status tracking across a global organization
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of AP ledger balances
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing financial documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Support annual 1099 and 1042 tax filings
  • Participate in special projects related to accounting and financial reporting
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to new business initiatives
  • Manage corporate and purchasing card applications and reconciliations
  • Assist with updating internal policies, communication materials, and training documentation
  • Resolve AP issues in accordance with company policies

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of accounts payable experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
