Job Title: Quality Associate

Reports To: Quality Manager

FLSA Status: Salaried

Position Overview

Supports quality control processes for inbound and outbound products to ensure compliance with Hyundai Steel’s standards. This role assists in identifying defects, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting visual and dimensional inspection of raw and finished material.
  • Collect, organize, and input inspection data into quality management systems.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records, reports, and documentation.
  • Assist with sample collection for testing.
  • Provide general support to inspectors and specialists in daily quality activities.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure product quality and resolve issues.
  • Actively attend and participate in departmental and company-wide meetings.
  • Investigate quality issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Adhere to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Quality Assurance/ Quality Systems Technology Required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience Required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Relevant Filed Preferred.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or quality Preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO standards or other quality systems Preferred.
