Job description

WHO WE ARE: Quality Community Health Care (QCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operated health care center since 1980. We provide service at 3 locations in Philadelphia, PA, managing the health and wellness of patients from infants through senior citizens. We practice medicine as a partnership between us and our patients.

POSITION PURPOSE: The Front Desk Associate will provide excellent customer service to QCHC patients and staff while effectively communicating the daily operations of all departments that interact with patient services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  1. Monitor the booking of providers' schedules.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of QCHC Office Associates.
  3. Assist in setting up and explaining patient payment plans.
  4. Sign patients with no insurance and/or minimal insurance with a sliding fee.
  5. Assist with coordinating referrals and prescriptions.
  6. Monitor patient flow.
  7. Explain and collect fees for services.
  8. Review the daily collections of On Account (OA) by ins and encounter forms.
  9. Randomly check OA cash banks.
  10. Handle and resolve patient complaints.
  11. Perform daily checks and report the cleanliness of the building.
  12. Conduct periodic training sessions using the database via face-to-face and/or online training. Update training documentation as needed.
  13. Assist with overall clinical and departmental workflow and efficiency, from front end to back end.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor/manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Willingness to travel to various QCHC medical sites as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Associate's Degree or legacied by the CEO

Experience:

  • One (1)+ years of medical office experience, including supervising office employees.
