Job description

Talented Buyer Wanted

Our client is seeking a talented buyer to join their procurement team! In this role, you will be responsible for rolling stock procurement of materials and services for the REM projects. The buyer will also be responsible for maintaining methods to produce successful site operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish project and business needs.
  • Consolidation of commodities needs input.
  • Determine and implement Request for Quotation with suppliers.
  • Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers.
  • Utilization of commodity strategy and panel elaboration
  • Able to work in a team with internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing/Business Management
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • 3 years minimum of experience in Purchasing
  • International business background is a plus
