Key Responsibilities We Will Trust You With:

The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for working with a team of Software Engineers in the maintenance and development of Guidant’s terminal management software product suite using established, documented, development standards to build best-in-class software. The Software Engineer is responsible for all phases of software development, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Designing. programming, debugging, and testing of application software
  • Reviewing code written by other developers
  • Collaborating and communicating with other team members to drive team objectives
  • Tracking and reporting individual progress on assigned tasks
  • Supporting and driving HSE performance results
  • Working with other programmers, technical writers, project leads, and other subject matter experts in order to meet requirements of our products and projects
  • Working with quality assurance groups to resolve integration testing issues
  • Creating realistic project resource estimates
  • Working together with other software developers to architect and develop software. Working in global teams a benefit.
  • Working with the support department to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a time-sensitive manner.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise that Matter Most for this Role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or applicable degree.
  • Minimum 6+years’ experience developing applications in ANSI C/C++ AND SQL
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio and SQL Server
  • Ability to query, extract, and update data in a SQL Server Database.
  • Sound experience developing applications using established SDLC methodologies
