The curriculum typically covers topics like electronics, process control, industrial automation, and instrumentation calibration. Graduates are trained to install, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation equipment that measures and controls variables like pressure, temperature, and flow. This degree often leads to entry-level technician roles and can serve as a foundation for further education in engineering or technology fields.
