The Midโ€‘Level Data Architect / Data Scientist supports the development and implementation of enterprise data architectures and analytics solutions supporting CDAO dataโ€‘driven mission initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Support development of scalable data architectures supporting analytics and AI initiatives.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and data processing workflows.
  • Support development and deployment of machine learning and analytics models.
  • Assist with the integration of multiple enterprise data sources and platforms.
  • Support development of data governance and metadata management processes.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and support mission analytics activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to deliver analytics solutions
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or analytics.
    • Experience with data analytics tools, cloud data platforms, or machine learning frameworks.
  • Active Secret security clearance required (or higher).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master Degree Preferred
  • Experience supporting DoD, CDAO, Joint Staff, or federal data modernization initiatives, including AI/ML, advanced analytics, and enterprise data management programs.
  • Experience with cloudโ€‘based analytics and data engineering platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Python, Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar technologies, and relevant certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Data Analytics Specialty, or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to work onโ€‘site 5 days a week
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with timeโ€‘related constraints in a fastโ€‘paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problemโ€‘solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
