Director of Data Intelligence | Remote | Michigan or Minnesota Preferred
Role Snapshot:
  • Set the Vision: Own the strategy and execution of the Data, Analytics and AI Practice.
  • Build the Practice: Stand up and scale offerings, capabilities, and team from the ground up.
  • Drive Growth: Deliver revenue expansion and measurable client impact.
  • Lead in the Market: Establish Vervint's presence and thought leadership in Data & AI.
  • Bring a Network: Leverage existing client relationships and/or a strong market presence to accelerate growth.

As the Director of Data Intelligence, you will lead the development and execution of Vervint's Data, Analytics & AI Practice. This is a builder role-responsible for defining service offerings, forming strategic partnerships, and driving both new business and client expansion.
Reporting to the President & Chief Consulting Officer, this leader is accountable for positioning Data & AI as a core growth engine for the firm. You'll bring a mix of strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and technical expertise to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients while building a differentiated, scalable practice.
What You'll Accomplish:
Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and own the firm's data, analytics, and AI vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Data and AI Practice, including service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and operational capabilities.
  • Represent Vervint at industry events, conferences, and webinars to showcase expertise in Data and AI.
  • Advise ELT on data-driven decision-making and AI opportunities that align with our business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment on data and AI initiatives across Sales, Practices, Finance, and Talent.

Client-Facing Innovation
  • Identify, engage, and acquire new customers by leveraging industry relationships, market insights, and sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought leader to clients on data and AI solutions.
  • Lead development and delivery of innovative Data and AI solutions, frameworks, and methodologies that address market demands and customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key technology providers, vendors, and industry stakeholders to enhance the practice's capabilities.
  • Partner with Sales and Practices to embed data/AI into client offerings, proposals, and go-to-market strategies.

Team Building & Capability Development
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning in data and AI.
  • Drive upskilling and data literacy across the organization.

AI IP & Emerging Technologies
  • Lead development of reusable frameworks, models, and IP that can be leveraged across client engagements.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging tools and technologies for AI, data engineering, and analytics.

Governance & Ethical AI
  • Ensure responsible, ethical, and compliant use of data and AI.
  • Develop internal policies and frameworks for fairness, transparency, and risk mitigation in partnership with the internal IS team.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
