CDR General Services is seeking a Bilingual Accounting Assistant to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills, the ability to navigate QuickBooks Online, and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Bilingual Accounting Assistant to support our daily accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone with experience using QuickBooks Online who enjoys working with financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and providing administrative support to the accounting team. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, and able to communicate effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking clients, vendors, and employees.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Enter invoices, bills, payments, deposits, and journal entries into QuickBooks Online.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Process vendor invoices and assist with payment preparation.
  • Generate customer invoices and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and organized electronic documentation.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
  • Support payroll preparation by organizing payroll information and employee records.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and other accounting documentation using Microsoft Excel.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding account inquiries.
  • Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) support to clients, vendors, and employees as needed.
  • Assist with audits, budgeting, and other accounting projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.
  • Perform other administrative and accounting duties to support the finance department.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.
  • Experience as an Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper, or similar accounting role preferred.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online is REQUIRED.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
