SUMMARY:

Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join its Northern Virginia practice. This role involves managing a high-volume caseload and representing clients across various stages of criminal proceedings in state courts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong foundation in criminal defense litigation.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Represent clients in General District Court and Circuit Court

- Manage multiple criminal cases simultaneously at different stages

- Prepare, draft, and review legal documents and pleadings

- Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies

- Advise clients on legal rights, options, and case developments

- Gather and analyze evidence to support defense arguments

- Present evidence and advocate for clients in court proceedings

- Maintain consistent client communication and build strong relationships

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1+ years of experience in criminal defense

- Active member in good standing with the Virginia Bar

- Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload

- Experience appearing in court and managing litigation matters independently

- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required
