Job description

Job Summary

Maintains accountability for managing software/data needs and technical services for area of accountability, in collaboration with the Digital Services (DS) department staff. Performs the initial analysis of data, develops customized reports to facilitate meaningful interpretation of the data and provides education support to users.

Essential Functions

  • Analyzes project needs and defines software applications/needs and works closely with application and technical services within the Digital Services (DS) department.
  • Collects, compiles, and prepares data for analysis and develops databases that facilitate tracking of data.
  • Manipulates data output to develop unique reports to meet special requests and reviews reports / data to determine accuracy.
  • Assesses the educational needs of others related to area of accountability and coordinates/implements appropriate teaching strategies or makes appropriate referrals.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services. Fosters open / direct communication and facilitates group processes with others in the department. Serves as a consultant to staff, software development companies and other members of the health care team regarding computer issues. Works hand in hand with IS department staff to accomplish corporate goals as it relates to technology projects.
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures and protocols related to computer management systems.
  • Determines programming/interface needs within the department/service to DS programming staff and prioritizes requests in order to expedite appropriate requests.
  • Completes components/small projects with specific information, defined methodology, project plan and in a manner which is timely, to the customer's satisfaction and within budgetary constraints. Provides input into project planning within scope of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience in related field

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
