Job Summary

The Perfect Power Data Scientist will be responsible for conducting analyses on various data types to uncover hidden patterns and unknown correlations to support business and management decisions. This includes data mining, data auditing, aggregation, validation, and reconciliation. Create visual dashboards to develop reliable real-time visibility into key metrics and access deeper analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling. Utilizes analytics and statistical software such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, and others to perform analysis and interpret data. This role would help to automate tasks, improve the quality of reporting and introduce advanced analytics for the company to make faster, smarter decisions.

What you'll do:

  • Development of analytical solutions to solve high-value business problems across AEP.

  • Utilize analytical tools and data management skills to provide actionable business intelligence.

  • Build business knowledge across the organization and utilize knowledge to assist in the development of meaningful analyses.

  • Help identify, acquire, and provide management of data needed for various analytic studies.

  • Assist in the development of components of predictive and prescriptive systems to optimize operations and support strategic initiatives.

  • Apply data visualization tools to large data sets to enhance data understanding.

  • Acquire knowledge of business processes and data acquisition practices from business units using disparate systems.
