As a Consumer Bank Marketing Analytics Data Scientist at JPMorganChase within Consumer & Community Banking Data & Analytics, you will evaluate customer acquisition quality for deposit marketing initiatives, inform campaign strategy through rigorous experimentation, and improve investment decisions using present value modeling. You will develop, maintain, and enhance present value models and ad hoc estimates, and you will partner closely with stakeholders to translate analytical results into clear business recommendations that improve customer and business outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and evaluate present value calculations and related assumptions to assess acquisition quality and investment performance
  • Provide analytical support for deposit marketing initiatives, including campaign insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance
  • Contribute to portfolio investment optimization and business-facing quality assumptions that inform marketing investment decisions
  • Support finance processes by providing inputs to budgeting and forecasting, including return on investment and cost-benefit evaluations
  • Consult on experimental design and data collection, partnering with stakeholders and other Data & Analytics teams to develop and refine strategies
  • Interpret analytical results and present insights to stakeholders and senior management in a clear, concise, and actionable way
  • Participate in innovation efforts to advance analytical methods, while maintaining a strong controls environment to ensure accurate and timely results

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related fields)
  • 3+ years of experience applying statistical methods to real-world problems
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL for data analysis
  • 3+ years of experience using R for analytics 
  • Experience supporting finance workstreams, including budgeting, forecasting, and return on investment or cost-benefit evaluations
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and incrementality testing, including experimental design, statistical significance evaluation, and translating results into business recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate analysis and code development
  • Experience with data visualization for analysis and presentation 
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience communicating effectively across levels and partner groups

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 3+ years of applied experience using Python
  • Experience in marketing analytics, including customer acquisition and campaign measurement
  • Experience building data visualizations for analysis and presentations; Tableau preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to solve unstructured problems independently while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment
  • Strong strategic, organizational, and relationship-building skills to prioritize multiple initiatives and deliver on business goals on time
