About the Role

As a Logistics Analyst at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting transportation operations by maintaining and enhancing the company's Transportation Management System (TMS+) while delivering critical logistics reporting and freight cost analysis. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and technical proficiency, and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to transportation efficiency, carrier performance, and data-driven decision-making.

You will collaborate with the Logistics Manager, warehouse teams, logistics teammates, and carrier partners, ensuring accurate system data, streamlined processes, and effective transportation management. This role is located in Harrow, Ontario.

What You'll Do
  • Provides training and onboarding support to new and existing carriers on all TMS+ functions and processes.
  • Maintains transportation management system data, ensuring accuracy, organization, and system integrity through ongoing administration and updates.
  • Collaborates with logistics, warehouse, and carrier partners to support the implementation of TMS+ enhancements and process improvements.
  • Executes freight cost, rate, KPI, and market trend analyses to support informed transportation and business decisions.
  • Generates monthly and ad hoc logistics reports, delivering actionable insights to support operational performance.
  • Troubleshoots minor system-related issues and coordinates resolutions to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Supports carrier vetting, onboarding, and contractual setup activities to ensure compliance and network effectiveness.
  • Enters and maintains rail freight rates within TMS+ while providing support to the Logistics Rail team as needed.
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; transportation or freight analysis experience preferred.
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred; strong data management and reporting capabilities.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; strong attention to detail; ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Additional Qualifications: Ability to type at least 70 WPM; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment; willingness to travel as required for training purposes; previous Freight Analyst experience considered an asset.

Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Salary Range: $55K - 63K

Additional compensation may include:
