Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to support the Program Management of cybersecurity tools and deliver a Zero Trust Architecture roadmap. The role involves coordinating with teams to develop secure and effective solutions while investigating new techniques and leading the design of network security architectures.
Responsibilities:
• support the Program Management of a suite of cybersecurity tools suite
• deliver a Zero Trust Architecture roadmap
• develop an Enterprise Integration Strategy for Modernization, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) capabilities
• coordinate work with in-house teams, subcontractors, and industry partners
• identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions
• investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going
• lead the team through a critical approach to network design
• provide alternatives and customize solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs
• help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices
• broaden skillset into areas like Zero Trust Architecture, AI and ML informed response, automation and orchestration of security events, and Cloud-based security
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise IT engineering and cybersecurity architecture in high-tempo production environments, including designing and deploying defensive security solutions such as IDPS, NGFW, EDR/XDR, SIEM, PCAP, DLP, or C2C, for hybrid IT environments
• 3+ years of experience leading modernization or transformation workstreams across threat detection, vulnerability management, infrastructure protection, endpoint security, network defense, multi-cloud, A&O, or Zero Trust initiatives
• 2+ years of experience delivering cybersecurity projects in large, complex environments, including architecture design, implementation, integration, and coordination across engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholders
• Experience with cybersecurity technologies spanning SIEM, SOAR, RMF, endpoint security, vulnerability scanning, DLP, firewalls, IDS/NDR, PCAP analysis, virtualization, infrastructure platforms, and automation across on-premises and cloud environments
• Experience architecting solution roadmaps and cybersecurity capabilities in alignment with industry standards, including NIST SP800-37, SP800-53, SP800-207, RMF, and the DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture
• Ability to guide and advise senior leaders to build and execute cybersecurity maturation efforts, communicate complex technical concepts, and author technical documentation, reference models, and whitepapers on cybersecurity topics and concepts
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Master’s degree and 1+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or 10+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities in lieu of a degree
• DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification and IASAE Level I Certification such as SecurityX or CISSP Certification
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification such as CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND Certification, prior to start date
Preferred:
• Experience in a cybersecurity engineering or operations leadership role
• Experience selecting, designing, and implementing security tools and capabilities for large, complex federal or commercial organizations
• Experience with the capabilities and architectural roles of key cybersecurity technologies such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, or DLP, to guide decisions on tool selection, integration, and maturation
• Experience with innovative cybersecurity capabilities, including A&O/SOAR, AI/ML, Zero Trust, and multi-cloud
• Experience designing secure solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, including analysis of cross-domain data flows, resource sizing, and RBAC policies
• Experience delivering solutions in accordance with Agile, ITSM, ITIL, and SELC best practices
• Ability to collaborate with project and proposal teams to incorporate cybersecurity solutions and develop high quality implementation plans and roadmaps
