Title: Registered Nurse - ICU (MedSurg ICU East 3)

Location: Lubbock

State: Texas

Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital (Level II Trauma Center)

Duration: 14 Weeks

Start Date: 06/15/2026

Schedule: Day Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Timing: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Block Scheduling: Not Required
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Floating: Required Between Units
On-Call: Not Required
48 Hours Option: Approved

Job Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity critical care in a MedSurg ICU setting. The RN will manage complex patients in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center, delivering advanced nursing care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care for ICU patients with complex medical conditions

  • Monitor and manage critically ill patients in a 1:2-1:3 ratio

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care interventions

  • Manage ventilated and post-surgical ICU patients

  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams

  • Perform continuous patient assessments and respond to clinical changes

  • Document patient care accurately in EMR systems

  • Float between units as needed based on facility demand

  • Maintain adherence to ICU protocols and safety standards

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2-3+ years ICU experience preferred (required preference noted)

  • Strong cardiac and neuro ICU experience required

  • General surgery ICU experience preferred

  • Trauma ICU experience preferred

  • Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments

  • Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
