Desktop Support TechnicianPosition Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide both onsite and remote technical support for end users across a dynamic corporate environment. This role combines hands-on desktop support with virtual user assistance, requiring strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate is a motivated IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting a diverse user base, and helping employees maximize productivity through technology.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to end users through multiple channels including:
    • Onsite support
    • Walk-up support centers or IT service areas
    • Remote support sessions
    • Virtual chat support
  • Support both local and remote employees across multiple locations.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle activities including deployment, inventory tracking, audits, refreshes, and secure disposal.
  • Provision technology assets for new hires and support onboarding activities.
  • Monitor endpoint health and assist with remediation of system issues.
  • Support meeting room technology, video conferencing equipment, printers, and other workplace technologies.
  • Process hardware and software setup, relocation, and removal requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide timely updates on support requests.
  • Monitor support queues and ensure incidents are resolved within established service levels.
  • Contribute to knowledge base documentation and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted technology resource by advising users on best practices and recommended solutions.
  • Assist with testing, implementation, and adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of desktop support, technical support, or help desk experience.
  • Experience supporting users in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, and connectivity issues.
  • Experience working with ticket management and incident tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of user account administration, remote access technologies, and network fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with system imaging, device deployment, and endpoint management processes.
  • Experience supporting desktop and laptop operating systems across multiple platforms.
  • Understanding of mobile device configuration and support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to support business needs as required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
