Position Summary
As a Sales Analyst/Associate, you will be partnered with one or more Regional Sales Directors. As a team, you are responsible for driving sales by proactively marketing Ares' products to financial intermediaries. This is an exciting opportunity to join in an internal sales capacity with the opportunity to grow your career longer term with the firm. We're searching for a dynamic, relationship driven Sales Analyst/Associate who will successfully represent Ares while promoting our suite of Ares alternatives offerings to the wealth management channel.
Essential Job Duties
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Directors to successfully develop and execute sales strategies and tactics targeted at the financial intermediary channels
  • Develop new and build upon existing relationships within assigned territory
  • Meet established sales targets and grow Ares' market share within assigned territory
  • Successfully develop and execute sales strategies and tactics via proactive activity by way of phone, email, and / or virtual meetings
  • Source new prospective advisors through cold outreach, while providing support coverage for existing advisor relationships
  • Work in conjunction with specified Regional Sales Director(s) to develop a plan to generate greater sales, higher asset levels and improved client service
  • Gain a deep understanding and thoroughly communicate Ares' product philosophy, process, objectives, and positioning
  • Become a knowledgeable source of information and insights about alternatives products and market
  • Adhere to all compliance guidelines, including use of pre-approved marketing materials, prospectus requirements and proper licensing
  • Fulfill in a timely manner required administrative/team responsibilities such as Salesforce.com CRM data, call reporting, conference calls and meetings
  • Participate in client seminars and events; maintain professional appearance
  • Liaise with various product specialists within AWMS to respond to client needs
  • Responsible for scheduling virtual and in person 1x1 meetings with financial advisors, and assisting with targeted regional advisor-facing events where applicable

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong sales and/or advisory services background with progressive level of proven results
  • 1-4 years of experience in financial services with internal wholesaling preferred.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7, and 63 required
  • Knowledge of the various product sub-sets within the Equity, Fixed Income and International markets, alternative investments preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal colleagues and external partners
  • Demonstrated sales skills, ability to be articulate, flexible, polished, and comfortable in fast-paced environment
  • Travel may be up to 20%
  • At all times, conduct daily activities in the highest professional manner
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$100,000 - $150,000
