The Role:
Melville, NY / Hybrid (3 days in office)
The EGC Group, a Long Island, NY-based marketing agency, is seeking a full-time Associate Creative Director (ACD) Copywriter. The ACD Copywriter will be responsible for creating engaging concepts and content for our diverse portfolio of clients. The Copywriter must have excellent verbal and communication skills, along with the versatility to communicate with clients who are digitally-savvy as well as those who are not. This position will be a client-facing role, so presentation skills are a must. This candidate will work closely with the VP Creative Director, but must also be able to concept and work independently.
Primary Responsibilities:
We are looking for an ACD Copywriter who is positive, motivated and energetic. This person will elevate the brand of each of our customers by creating exceptional content across all mediums. Our portfolio of clients is very diverse. From healthcare to education, among other industries, we need someone who understands brand integration across all brand touchpoints. Having the versatility to write in many voices, tones and styles is paramount.
This Successful Candidate Will Possess These Following Skills:
  • Strong concept development and exceptional writing and communication ability.
  • The patience and stamina to oversee projects from concept to completion.
  • Communicate and provide direction to other creatives.
  • The ability to adapt writing to different tones and styles.
  • Create effective content (e.g., short, long, and medium form) that includes concept development, website copy, blog posts, articles, video scripts, storyboards, ads and press releases, among types of material.
  • The ability to bring a strategic lens to all work
  • Work effectively with the media and account team for developing documents that align with a project's goals at kick-off.
  • Comprehend the overall strategy of a campaign and understand each client's goals and objectives, along with providing strategic content recommendations.
  • Present work and ideas clearly to client and internal teams.
  • Turn complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand content.
  • Is aware of deadlines and is detail oriented.

Requirements Include:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing.
  • Experience with having worked on large accounts or national brands.
  • Strong ability to communicate to the internal team and interact directly with clients.
  • Detail-oriented and an excellent problem-solver. Self-starter who can multi-task and juggle many simultaneous priorities.
  • Meticulous with details and quality.
  • The ability to prioritize workload and estimate the delivery of a project.
