Job description


Print & Courier Associate Position Profile
The Print & Courier Associate supports daily print center operations by completing scheduled courier runs, assisting customers at the retail front desk, and supporting print production activities. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to assist in multiple areas of the print center.
The associate will make two courier runs daily (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and, during downtime, assist with customer service, cash handling, printing, cutting, binding, packaging, and preparing customer orders. This position reports directly to the Site Manager or Site Supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Courier Services
  • Complete scheduled courier runs twice daily to pick up and deliver documents, packages, and print orders.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and secure transportation of customer materials.
  • Maintain delivery records as required.
  • Communicate delivery status and address issues promptly.
Customer Service & Retail Support
  • Provide exceptional customer service at the retail front desk.
  • Assist customers with print service requests and basic product inquiries.
  • Process customer transactions and handle cash accurately.
  • Answer questions regarding order status, turnaround times, and service options.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming customer experience.
Print Production Support
  • Operate print production equipment to produce customer orders.
  • Assist with printing, copying, cutting, binding, finishing, and packaging services.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure completed orders meet customer specifications.
  • Prepare completed jobs for pickup, shipment, or delivery.
  • Monitor production workflow and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines.
Equipment & Workspace Maintenance
  • Assist with basic equipment setup, including replenishing paper and toner.
  • Report equipment issues to designated technicians.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure production and customer service areas remain stocked with necessary supplies.
Administrative Support
  • Maintain job logs and production records as required.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and supply monitoring.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)
  • Requires high school diploma or GED and1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Dependable with a strong attendance record.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible and willing to assist in multiple operational areas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn print production processes and equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of copier and other related equipment and repair is preferred.
  • Requires knowledge and understanding of shipping/receiving procedures.
  • Basis electronics knowledge is preferred.
  • Possesses ability to work independently and flexibly to complete projects.
  • Possesses ability to determine correct method and packing material as well as check packing slips for accuracy of incoming materials.
  • Possesses ability to comprehend instructions concerning mail delivery.
  • Possesses troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Possesses ability to read and comprehend written technical information in the form of manuals, parts books and related publications.
  • Possesses excellent customer relations skills and excellent verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
  • Requires frequent exposure to copier/fax machine noise, toner and changes in room temperature and may be exposed to frequent paper cuts from the handling of paper and opening of boxes.
  • Requires exposure to various weather conditions when walking is necessary between buildings and exposure to location equipment can present opportunities for injury or accidents.
  • Makes daily telephone/in-person contact with customers, employees, managers and/or Dispatch Department and occasional telephone contact with vendors and equipment repair people.
  • Dealing with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times imposes high stress levels.
  • Some physical effort is required which may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs. and in pushing or pulling machines on wheels, which may weigh up to 400 lbs., in order to move for repairs. Walking between buildings may be necessary.
