Job description

The Westport Library has great stories to tell, and the Digital Marketing and Communications Associate helps tell it across email, web, and story-driven media. What you'll own:

  • Accountability for the Library’s e-mail marketing program including bi-weekly and monthly email blasts, tentpole blasts, and one-off promotions plus building and maintaining list segmentation.
  • Story-driven media materials: event features, Impact Stories, and press outreach.
  • Building, updating, and optimizing event landing pages in WordPress, including copy, image assets, metadata, and SEO tags.
  • Tracking and reporting on campaign and website performance (email, landing pages, ticketing) using Google Analytics and related tools.

What you bring:

  • Proven copywriting and email/digital marketing experience, with hands-on ActiveCampaign and WordPress chops including list segmentation, list hygiene, and link/UTM tracking.
  • Working SEO knowledge and a data-driven approach to what you write.
  • Sharp organization: you can run a ~30 event/month pipeline without missing a beat.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to write story-driven media materials, email copy, and landing page content.
  • Experience with WordPress required; experience with Event Tickets Pro, The Events Calendar Pro, and Promoter strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator, written and verbal.
  • Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related field (or 4 years' equivalent experience). Nonprofit, cultural institution, or library experience a plus.

Employment Type: Full Time
Years Experience: 3 - 5 years
Salary: $63,500 - $66,000 Annual
