Duration- 6-month contract to start with
Location- San Leandro, CA, 94577
Pay Rate- $40.00/ hr.
Summary
  • The Control Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial control systems and automation equipment. This role ensures reliable operation of PLCs, instrumentation, sensors, and control networks to support a safe and efficient production process.
 
Requirements
  • An associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or a related field is nice to have.
  • The manager will look at candidates with additional work experience instead of a degree
  • 5+ years of experience working with industrial control systems
  • Strong knowledge of the following:
  • PLCs (Allen-Bradley)
  • Motor control systems and VFDs
  • Industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Familiarity with safety practices such as LOTO and arc flash is nice to have.
  • The candidate will be trained on both.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing environments (food & beverage, dairy, or processing plants)
  • Strong experience with SCADA platform (development, troubleshooting, and upgrades)
  • Understanding of process control loops and PID tuning.
