One of Canada’s Most Trusted Investment Brands.

At Picton Mahoney Asset Management (PICTON Investments), being alternative isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are.

Founded by industry pioneer David Picton, we’ve spent 20 years challenging conventional wisdom and redefining the investing landscape. As one of Canada’s most trusted investment brands, we are proudly independent, privately run, 100% employee-owned, and deeply committed to delivering results for our clients.

Thinking Alternatively is in Our DNA.

With a team of 233 bold thinkers—one-third dedicated solely to investment management—we are specialists, not generalists. Managing over $20.6 billion (August 31, 2026) for institutional and retail clients, we navigate markets with conviction, resilience, and a forward-thinking approach.

We’re more than investors we’re innovators. We challenge traditional investment mindsets, constantly pushing the boundaries to achieve our mission: To bring greater certainty to investors.

Our success is built on four guiding principles:

  • Treat investors’ money like our own.
  • Redefine the way investors invest.
  • Be human, always approachable.
  • Succeed together, one investment at a time.

These aren’t just words. They define how we think, how we invest, and how we work.

Now, we’re entering our next chapter. We’re transforming our brand and reshaping the way the world invests. If you think alternatively, embrace an entrepreneurial spirit, and thrive in a dynamic, bureaucracy-free environment, join us and be part of what’s next.

Thriving in Our Entrepreneurial Culture

At PICTON Investments, you’ll thrive in our creative and dynamic workplace, where collaboration and support are at the core of everything we do. At our firm, you’ll have the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities, work in a flexible environment, and tackle challenging projects from the outset. Our culture is designed for ambitious professionals who want to make an immediate impact while continuing to push boundaries and achieve our greater mission. You’ll be empowered with a high level of responsibility, trust, and flexibility, providing an exciting and creative space for you to help reshape how the world views alternative investments. With competitive total rewards, performance-based bonuses, and a clear path for career growth, you’ll have everything you need to develop both now and over the longer term.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media & Sponsorships who knows how to build brands through social media, compelling content, and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Brand Marketing, this role will own PICTON's LinkedIn and YouTube strategy, develop a best-in-class content engine, and maximize the impact of our sponsorship portfolio through integrated marketing activations.

Working closely with investment professionals, executives, creative partners, and internal stakeholders, you'll transform complex investment topics into engaging content while bringing our sponsorships to life through integrated campaigns that build brand awareness, deepen relationships with financial advisors, and strengthen PICTON's position as a leader in alternative investing.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with exceptional storytelling and content creation skills. You understand financial markets, thrive in a regulated environment, and know how to create platform-first content that drives meaningful engagement and measurable business results.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000 with final base salary determined based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for variable compensation, including participation in the Company’s discretionary bonus program, subject to applicable plan terms.

At PICTON Investments, being employee-owned means we take care of our team and offer opportunities for top performers to participate in our equity ownership program over time. Eligible employees get access to a full benefits package, including profit sharing, health and wellness coverage, life and disability insurance, paid time off and holidays, learning and development programs, and more, many of which are fully covered or subsidized by us.

Responsibilities of the Role

Social Media Strategy & Growth

  • Own and evolve PICTON's organic LinkedIn and YouTube strategy, developing channel-specific plans that increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Build and manage an integrated editorial calendar featuring investment insights, executive thought leadership, brand campaigns, sponsorship content, and always-on storytelling.
  • Grow PICTON's YouTube presence by developing a long-term content strategy, including educational videos, market commentary, event highlights, and executive content.
  • Identify emerging trends, platform innovations, and performance insights to continuously optimize channel growth and engagement.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Lead the creation of engaging, platform-native content across LinkedIn and YouTube, working with our educational content lead and subject matter experts to translate complex investment topics into compelling stories for advisors and investors.
  • Develop executive thought leadership, employee advocacy, educational content, and video-first storytelling that reinforces PICTON's expertise and brand.
  • Partner with internal creative teams, investment professionals, and agency partners to produce high-quality written, visual, and video content.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline content creation and continuously innovate our digital presence.

Sponsorship Strategy & Activation

  • Lead the marketing activation of PICTON's sponsorship portfolio, including Rugby Canada and Golf Talk Canada, to develop integrated campaigns that maximize awareness, engagement, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with sponsorship partners to create compelling content, advisor experiences, and storytelling opportunities before, during, and after sponsored events.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities that align with PICTON's brand strategy and deliver measurable value for advisors, clients, and employees.
  • Measure sponsorship performance and ROI through brand awareness, engagement, content reach, and business outcomes, continuously optimizing activation strategies.

Community Management & Performance

  • Manage day-to-day publishing, community engagement, and social listening while ensuring all content meets compliance and brand standards.
  • Establish KPIs, monitor channel performance, and use insights to continuously optimize content, messaging, and publishing strategies.
  • Build employee advocacy and executive social media programs that expand PICTON's reach and credibility.
  • Deliver regular reporting and strategic recommendations that demonstrate the impact of social media and sponsorship investments.

What You Bring

  • 7–10 years of experience in social media, brand marketing, sponsorship marketing, or digital marketing, preferably within financial services, asset management, wealth management, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and advisor audiences.
  • Proven success developing and executing social media strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience creating high-performing content across LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital channels.
  • Experience developing and activating strategic sponsorships, partnerships, or experiential marketing programs.
  • Strong video content experience, including concept development, production, and optimization.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience developing executive thought leadership and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to support content creation and marketing workflows.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Experience working within compliance and regulatory review processes.
  • Highly collaborative with strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
