Department: Investment Consulting Group (ICG)

Reports To: Vice President
Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000


Position Summary

The Associate Consultant is a key member of Boltonโ€™s Investment Consulting Group, supporting the delivery of high-quality investment consulting services to a diverse client base. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day client activities, participating in client meetings, and supporting investment-related projects, while working with the direction of a primary consultant. The person in this role will develop into the lead on select client relationships. The Associate Consultant also contributes to business development efforts and collaborates closely with ICG team members to deliver thoughtful, data-driven investment solutions.


This role is ideal for an experienced investment professional who brings strong technical expertise, client service skills, and a desire to continue growing within a consulting environment.


Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Consulting

  • Manage day-to-day tasks for assigned clients, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and responsiveness to client needs
  • Attend client meetings and participate in discussions, working alongside lead consultants
  • Prepare and review client materials, analyses, reports, and presentations related to investment strategy, performance, and monitoring
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support ongoing client service and project execution

Investment & Project Work

  • Participate in investment-related projects within the Investment Consulting Group, including research, analysis, and special initiatives
  • Support portfolio analysis, performance monitoring, manager evaluations, and investment strategy development
  • Stay current on capital markets, investment products, and industry trends to inform client recommendations and internal discussions

Business Development

  • Support the firmโ€™s efforts to attract new clients by contributing to proposals, presentations, and other business development activities
  • Participate in prospect meetings and internal strategy discussions related to new business opportunities

Collaboration & Professional Contribution

  • Collaborate effectively with consultants, analysts, and other ICG team members
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvement, and best practices within the Investment Consulting Group
Requirements:

Qualifications

Required

  • Series 65 license
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant investment, consulting, or financial services experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-focused, deadline-driven environment

Preferred

  • Pursuit of CFA, CAIA, or MBA
  • Prior experience in an investment consulting or advisory firm environment
  • Experience working directly with institutional clients

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 15% as required for client meetings, business development, and firm initiatives
