Introduction:

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this full-time Software Engineer position. This position is a direct hire opportunity, which will be on-site in Orlando, FL.
Software Engineer Summary:
This position is responsible for writing programming code supporting manufacturing of high precision electronic RF components supporting military, defense, avionics, commercial and instrumentation markets. The software technician will work along with manufacturing engineers to define test systems and ultimately develop full applications for the use of testing and manufacturing products.

Software Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Development of software for normal business needs using the .Net Framework in ASP.Net, WinForms and SQL server.
  • Development of software for electronic test equipment automation using the same technologies.
  • Interface with manufacturing engineering and offer suggestions and solutions for hardware as well as software for given test systems.
  • Fix errors / bugs in existing code.
  • Make software enhancements and improvements as required.
  • Develop web apps to support various test and measurement systems.
  • Develop databases to store and retrieve electronic test results.

Software Engineer Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Proven software development abilities.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Electronics knowledge and understanding of basic measurements (V, A, dBm, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Education, Experience and Training:
  • Computer Science or Computer Science / Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Programming experience using C#, ASP.Net, WinForms and SQL server.
  • Electronics experience is required.
  • Experience with VB 6.0 is a plus.
  • Must be able to work on ITAR data without a license.
