Structural CAD Technician - 3+ yrs - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepares construction documents from data and specifications submitted by engineers
  • Utilizes computer aided drafting techniques to perform applicable work
  • Adds engineering markings to plan sets
  • Alters drawings to conform with engineering changes
  • Analyzes drawings to make sure they are accurate
  • Marks drawings as necessary to indicate any changes that may be required to meet quality control standards
  • Demonstrates an understanding of engineering concepts
  • Utilizes software packages such as Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinates work with Project Managers, Engineers, and other CAD Technicians
  • Completes preliminary design work with direction from engineers
  • Utilizes computer file management
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Structural CAD Technician - 3+ yrs - Skills and Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in drafting technologies from a U.S. accredited school and a minimum of three (3) years progressive experience with AutoCAD. Additional Revit experience is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of and proficiency using AutoCAD
  • Ability to learn and become proficient using other cad and design software
  • Working knowledge of structural building components and assembly
  • Applicable U.S. based work experience.
