Your future role at a glance

Location: Waco, Texas

Facility: Ascension Providence

Department: Security 

Schedule: Full-Time | Night

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Perform proactive monitoring of and timely response to potential/actual security threats.
  • Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
  • Maintain knowledge/follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
  • For those security officers who are responsible for operating a vehicle, operate in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. 
  • Law Enforcement preferred.
  • Security Professional credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
